Payment processing — and nothing on top

Alora Giving takes no cut of your donations. Your payment processor charges its standard fee — Stripe is typically ~2.2% + 30¢ for US cards; regional rails like bKash or Razorpay have their own local rates. At checkout, donors can choose to cover the fees, and most do — so the full donation reaches your organization.

Why is the core platform free?

Most platforms charge $200–500/month for the automation and intelligence a small organization needs most. That works for a large nonprofit with a development office. It doesn't work for a volunteer-run charity, a small congregation, or a community center.

So the core giving stack is free for everyone, and the platform sustains itself honestly on the things that have real marginal cost — extra devices, SMS, high-volume email, custom white-label packaging, and organizations that need Enterprise controls, domains, and federation. Transparent usage pricing instead of feature gates: that's the model.

The "what's the catch?" questions

How is a $0 plan sustainable?

The free Community plan is funded by the parts of the platform with real costs and real value: Enterprise subscriptions ($495/month for white-label, SSO, federation, and 10 included device licenses), custom white-label app packaging for organizations that need it, extra device licenses, and metered usage. The Alora Giving brand app for admins/staff and donors is included. Alora Giving is built by Sineris Holdings — there's no VC clock forcing a future bait-and-switch.

Are payment processing fees separate?

Yes. Your payment provider (Stripe, PayPal, bKash, etc.) charges its standard processing fee — Stripe is typically ~2.2% + 30¢ for US cards. We add no markup, and donors can cover the fees at checkout.

What about email costs?

Every plan includes a generous monthly email volume that covers typical sending for a small or mid-size organization. If you send beyond it, the overage is metered from your prepaid wallet in your account's local currency. Community includes a one-time starter credit, such as USD 5 in USD markets or BDT 500 in Bangladesh. Enterprise includes monthly wallet credits, such as USD 50/month in USD markets. Both apply to wallet-metered items like email, SMS, AI generation, extra device licenses, and any other metered items. No surprise invoices: when credits run out, you top up deliberately.

What about SMS costs?

SMS is metered by destination country and drawn from the same local-currency wallet as email overages, AI usage, extra devices, and any other metered items. Community's one-time starter credit helps with early usage; Enterprise's monthly credits cover a typical organization's reminders and one-time codes.

Can we export our data?

Yes — your data belongs to you. Every list in the dashboard has a CSV export: donor profiles, donation history, campaigns, pledges, audit logs. You can download everything at any time, on either tier, with no restrictions.

Is donor data used to train AI models?

No. Your donor data is never used to train external AI models. AI features run within your organization's tenant boundary with the same encryption, audit logging, and access controls as every other feature — and nothing AI drafts is ever sent without staff approval.
